Meet Vanessa

Vanessa Bollers, PMHNP-BC

Hi, I’m Vanessa, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of VaVel Mental Wellness.

My journey in healthcare began as a registered nurse, where I spent more than a decade caring for patients in a variety of clinical settings. Those years shaped the type of provider I am today—compassionate, down-to-earth, attentive, and committed to treating the person, not just the diagnosis.

I created VaVel Mental Wellness because I believe mental healthcare should feel personal. You deserve a provider who listens to your concerns, takes the time to answer your questions, and includes you in decisions about your care. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about what you’re experiencing without fear of judgment.

My approach to psychiatric care is collaborative and individualized. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, burnout, or another mental health concern, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening and develop a treatment plan that makes sense for you and your life.

I also believe in education. I don’t want you to leave an appointment wondering what you’re taking, why you’re taking it, or what comes next. I want you to understand your treatment options and feel confident participating in your own mental healthcare.

At VaVel, you are more than a diagnosis or an appointment on the schedule.

Your voice deserves to be heard.
Your experiences deserve to be valued.
And your mental wellness deserves to be prioritized.

Voice. Value. Vitality.

PHILOSOPHY OF CARE

Collaborative Care

Patients should be active participants in treatment decisions.

Judgment-Free Care

Patients should feel comfortable discussing symptoms and life experiences without feeling judged.

Individualized Treatment

Mental healthcare should not be one-size-fits-all.

Education

Patients should understand their diagnoses, medications, treatment options, potential benefits, and potential side effects.
